What is Kaftan?

Kaftans are long flowing robes that is commonly worn in Africa, these robes looks like a rectangular piece of material resembling a small blanket, with a hole in the center for your head while your arms have access through two holes on the sides.The kaftan is comfortable and also comforting it "covers all the right areas," hiding the most worrisome midsection figure flaws it is also easy to put on and off as the temperature demands; making it a popularity in tropical country like Malaysia as a bedtime attire. However recently such is no longer the case, a few influential designers send a quirky and impractical article of clothing down the runway; high-fashion magazines enthusiastically push it; a celebrities starts wearing it; lower-end lines begin mass-producing it; suddenly, women are buying it in shrieking colors and the kaftan is now seen as a fashion piece, the half kaftan which is very similiar to the poncho is a pullover that ends at the mid section of the thighs is popularly worn in the day time by women.
